To become a teacher takes 5 years of college and to get a teaching credential. To become a doctor takes 12 years at the bare minimum and to become a lawyer takes 8 years plus they have to pass a 3 day exam to practice law. Social workers go to college 4-6 years and nurses 4 years. Each of these professions require numerous tests, observations, and licensing. Not to mention the time and cost/ loans of attending college/university/medical or law school. It takes motivation and focus to finish the course work. To be an actor requires nothing in education and many haven't gone beyond high school. To own a business doesn't require education nor testing. Let's not forget the millionaire football and sports teams who do nothing but play some sort of sport. Yes, the people who have worked so hard and so long to become the teacher, doctor, nurse, social worker, lawyer are undervalued in society. The teacher spends his/her own money to get things for their classroom and doesn't get overtime for after school activities or back to school night. Then, they aren't paid comparable salaries as other people with the same education in other professions. Plus, they are asked to "raise" other people's children because many come to school not prepared to learn or even sit in a desk. The teacher sees all of society's problems in his/her classroom ( abused children, gangs, learning disabilities, absent parents, drug abuse, parents in prison, living with 3 families in a two room house, coming to school dirty and hungry, not having a coat in cold weather, below grade level in reading and math and second language learners plus 30+ students in classes ) yet is expected to teach them and to have them on grade level when tested. But, the "popular " view is that there is something wrong in education and teachers aren't doing their jobs.

It depends on the school, and geographical area. Typically, schools do not have to recruit teachers because there are an abundance of eager individuals looking for a teaching position. However, there are some school districts that do go out of their way to recruit teachers is certain geographical areas. For example in very remote areas, and especially in urban areas.
Yes but at a certain extent.
Teachers are very good at detecting and dealing with noises in the classroom. They will usually ignore all noises outside the classroom.

i really dont know why this certain thing is happening.. there will be no doctors if there are no teachers that will taught them how to do certain things that they can already do now.. but since doctors are given much higher salary compare to teachers, it keeps on bothering me.. i know that doctors save lives but teachers are the one responsible for the knowledge that they have.. this is probably because of the culture that was spread to us.. western culture that ate the real cutlture that we are trying to preserve.. i pity those teachers..
Teachers need to limit websites at school because students are in school to learn. If they did not limit certain sites, children would be on those sites instead of learning what teachers are trying to teach them.
