1986 Chevy G20 Van seems like it's not getting gas to the engine?

[Edit]

Answer

Possibles:

1)Plugged fuel filter

2)Gas guage incorrect reading & no fuel in tank

3)Fuel pump not working

4)leak in fuel line or loose clamps on lines (sucking in air)

Verify by getting a can of quick start (I've used aerosol can of brake clean before) or other and carefully spray into carb/throttle body and see if it will start or try to start. A little bit of gas poured in will work also (I SAID A LITTLE!!!) and if it starts/runs or wants to you know its a fuel problem. If nothing changes you have a probable ignition problem. Be carefull, as a backfire up through the carb can start a fire or you could loose your eyebrows and some hair if you're to close or stareing down the hole.
