1986 S-10 blazer driving along and lost the head lights radio and the engine died what could be the problem?

Answer

sounds like the key was turned off (lost power to ignition switch). check fusible links near starter by tugging a little on them, if one stretches then its probably broke inside. you may have a bad ignition switch also. not the cylinder, the electrical switch located at the lower steering column. but since the headlights also went out (which dosent rely on the ignition switch) i would say it is a power feed problem to the ignition switch or fuse panel.
