This is an easy one as I own a 1998 Bright Atlantic Blue, black over black leather Cobra vert.
In '98, the HP/TQ vales are 305HP and 300TQ. In '99 Ford raised it to 320/320, but after cries of FOUL, when cars weren't dynoing the power expected, the ratings were altered to an official 317.
Also, after '98, Ford reduces the redline. Well sorry, but running 2nd gear at 6000RPM at 60MPH, or better yet 3rd gear at now insane speeds, sounds um, incredible. Having a vert definitely adds to the effect though whenever one goes by my side, you realize just how much louder (and cooler) the Cobra exhaust system rocks!
