2001 4x4 ranger supercab need a wiring diagram for the 4x4 switch?

I don't have a wiring diagram . i do have a 2001 ranger xlt with the same problem won't shift into 4 wheel . recently talked to a friend that has been a Ford mech. for 22 years here are a few things he told me to check. 1. under the truck on the on the drivers side on the back of the transfer case is a small electric motor that shifts the transfer case in and out of 4 wheel it is about 3 inches in diameter and about 6 inches long. follow the wires from that motor to the first plug . note [ with battery unhooked] unplug at that point and check for corrosion if corrosion is present clean and plug back in then check to see if working if not then go to step 2 chock the wheels and engage the brake . with the truck running have someone work the switch like you are going to engage 4 wheel while you are under the truck lightly tap the motor with a hammer do not use force just tap lightly and several times 15 to 20 times .next trace wiring from the electric motor to a module in side the truck my wiring runs under the drivers seat thru the floor board and up toward the dash on the passengers side some where there is a module on that module is a self test button he could not remember the seqeunce of flashes so you will have to consult a garage on that probably ford if that does not work remove the motor leave it plugged in and see if is working sometimes they just get in a binned and need to be freed up . if you end up having to replace the motor the local ford dealer wanted almost $400 check here www.innerauto.com about $300 cheaper
