The light is the low coolant light. It is NOT an overheating light it just means your coolant level is low
The " check transaxle " warning light is located in the bottom of the tachometer on the left . It is a explanation mark inside a round gear
The one on the tachometer that is surrounded by a gear is the check transaxle warning light
You need coolant.
The O/D OFF warning light in the bottom left of your tachometer on your 1999 Mercury Sable means that the ( OVERDRIVE IS OFF ) * that's the " top gear " of your automatic transmission
This is most likely the Brake Warning Light. It's usually obvious because it says BRAKE under it but perhaps not always. This indicator light is usually located bottom center of the tachometer gauge.
Check your coolant level
On a 1999 Ford Taurus : The oil pressure warning light is just to the right of the tachometer * just above the parking brake / emergency brake , brake fluid level warning light
On a 2008 Ford Mustang : That is the ( LOW TIRE PRESSURE ) warning light * located below your tachometer
If you have the instrument panel with the tachometer , just above and to the left of the tachometer is a " check gage " light that comes on if the oil pressure is too low , the engine coolant temperature is too high , or your gas gauge is at or near empty
The warning light in the bottom area of your tachometer that looks like a circle ( gear ) with an exclamation mark in the middle is your " check transaxle " ( transmission ) warning light . If the light stays on take your vehicle in for servicing
On a 2004 Ford Explorer : The ( LOW tire pressure warning light ) is below and to the left of the tachometer
