The 2002 Nissan Sentra blower motor resistor is located near the blower motor itself, wich can be found under the dashboard, on the passenger side of the car.
To access it, you have to remove the glove compartment and the isolation panel that covers the bottom of the blower. Do the following steps:
# first, locate and open the glove compartment on the passenger side; # remove the four upper screws and slide the doorlock bracket out; # pull out the two pins at the inner bottom corners of the compartment; # take out the glove compartment assembly; # remove the two screws retaining the isolation panel and slide the later out. Looking under the dashboard, you can now see the blower motor and, on its left side, near the firewall, the resistor block brown connector.
To take out the blower motor resistor:
# remove the white plastic bracket that faces it; # unplug the brown connector; # remove the two screws on the resistor's socket; # pull the resistor block out. The resistor block is actually a PCB ("Printed Circuit Board"). The traces printed on this board have different electrical resistance, and are used by the control assembly to vary the speed of the blower fan.
They are generally found close to the blower motor.
to the right of the gas peddal
Defective blower motor resistor pack.
More than likely the blower motor speed resistor burned out.
Locate the resistor under the dash attached on the blower motor housing. Disconnect the wire harness connector. Remove the resistor and install a new one.
you need a new blower motor resistor
The Nissan blower motor can be found in the engine compartment on the firewall. The blower motor will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The 2001 Nissan Quest blower motor resistor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The blower motor resistor will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The blower motor resistor is mounted next to the motor on the passengers side under the dash..............
To change the blower motor resistor in a 2002 Nissan Maxima, locate the blower motor resistor under the glove compartment on the passenger side of the vehicle. There is a clip that is depressed and then the resistor will slide out. Remove both ends of the resistor and then replace with the new resistor.
I do not know what vehicle you are referring to but I just replaced one on a 1996 Nissan Sentra because the only speed that was working on the blower motor was 'high'. Underneath the glove box was a couple of screws that came out and the new resistor was put in. Two screws and done......... Most blower motor resistors are located close to the blower motor.
Check to see if you have 12 volts at the blower motor. If yes then the blower motor is bad. If no, then the resistor, relay, or fuse is bad.
