This will only work if you have a trip odometer: 1. Put the key in the ignition, but leave the switch turned off. 2. Push your trip odometer reset button in and hold it in. (Important: do not release the trip reset button or you will have to begin the process over.) 3. Turn key to last position before engine tries to start, but do not start engine. (your dummy lights and dash lights will come on) 4. Continue holding reset button pushed in. 5. You will see five dashes (-) in place of the numbers for your odometer read out. They will flash and then there will only be four. Each time they flash off and back on, there will be one less until they all disappear and then you will see zeroes all the way across. 6. Once you see the zeroes all the way across, you know it is reset. You may now release the trip reset button. 7. If you accidently release the trip reset button before the process is complete, just start over and make sure to hold the button in until the process is complete.
