Best Answer

I've used a 200 mm lens on a 35 mm camera for track events and football. It is a little long for portrait work, but may work OK for random candid people shots.

The Canon AE1 lens will not fit a Canon digital. You can buy an adapter that will allow the lens to work in manual focus mode on the digital camera.

Is there different camera lens for different cameras?

Yes, there are different camera lens' for different cameras. Not all cameras have different camera lens' though and that is because they have an automatic focus. A more detailed and expensive camera should have different lens' since they are for more detailed photographer work than for the regular consumer.

Will a regular film gear work on a digital camera?

It all depends on the kind of digital camera you have, if the lens mount is the same on both of the cameras, then the lens will work (Minolta and Sony are interchangeable) Off camera flashes may also work, again depending on the kind of camera(s). And of course, film wont.

Can lens of slr camera work in a dslr camera?

If you are transferring it onto a camera with the same mount then yes. But be aware AUTO FOCUS MAY NOT WORK CORRECTLY. The aperture of the lens may not be as good either. But overall you should be OK. Good Luck

Why does your camera say lens error and how can you fix it?

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Also you can try twisting the camera lens clockwise gently and it will go down. Do not push it down or else you will break it. Then try turning it on. It might work. There are several things that you can do to try to correct it. These home fixes seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors. If the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try. What kind of digital camera should you use for a Minolta SLR lens?

You would have to use a Minolta SLR digital camera with a Minolta lens. However, don't automatically assume an old Minolta lens will work on a digital camera. You need to determine whether the digital camera accepts interchangeable lenses and whether it accepts the specific Minolta SLR lens and mount you have. There is no real generic answer to this question.
