I would check to see if the timing chain has broke or if the top part of the distributor shaft has separated from the lower .Also check the rool pin on the lower section of the shaft
depending on the type of distributer, it would be inside the distributer. might check the pcm if you have no spark.
Check your ignition coil. You can find it by following the CENTER wire on your distributer cap. Replace that first. I would also check lead wires to distributer also they tend to chafe on the intake manifold
Need to replace rear spark plugs
do you mean distributor on engine or dodge vehicle distributer? if you mean distributer on engine, diesel does not have a distributer.diesel does not have spark plugs so no need for distributor. if you mean doge vehilce distributor, look in your phonebook
Mark each spark plug wire with a piece of tape and draw a picture on paper to mark where each wire is connected on the distributer cap. Remove all the wires. Remove two Phillips screws on top. Pull distributer cap off and replace. Put wires back on acording to your drawing.
Very carefully :)
Just replace them all.
Find the distributer cap. It is the thing all your spark plug wires are connected to. Usually in the center of the distributer cap a wire will lead all the way to the coil. My coil on a 1992 is located below the alternator bolted to the passenger side of the engine.
Because when you turn the igniton switch to run it heats up the coil which then in turn goes to the distributer and from the distributer to the spark plugs.
Flush and replace the engine coolant. Replace the engine timing belt or chain. Replace the spark plugs & wires.
You have to remove the intake plenum. It just unbolts.
it is the module on the distributer
