The third ghost in "A Christmas Carol" is the Ghost of Christmas Future, also known as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. This silent figure shows Scrooge the potential consequences of his actions if he does not change his ways, ultimately helping Scrooge realize the need for redemption and transformation. The Ghost reveals to Scrooge his own lonely death and the impact of his behavior on others, leading to his eventual change of heart.

The first, the Ghost of Christmas Past, takes Scrooge to the scenes of childhood and youth which stir the old gentler and tenderer emotions. The second spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Present, takes Scrooge to the home to observe his game of Yes and No and to the humble dwelling of his clerk Bob Cratchit to observe his Christmas dinner. The third spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, harrows Scrooge with dire visions of the future if he does not learn and act upon what he has witnessed.

The ghost of Christmas past is deemed to be small in stature with an elderly look yet still very young and a light or flame eliminated from the spirits head. The spirit carries a lamp extinguisher. The ghost of Christmas present is a large almost giant of a man with red hair and ruddy complexion and wears a robe of emerald green and a hat made of holly he carries a horn of plenty and a empty sword scabbard. The ghost of Christmas yet to come is tall and appears thin with bony almost skeletal fingers, his face is hidden beneath a hood, he utters no words
