No, but I'm sure a doctor would know and you had better get him to one soon. Sounds to me like a possible stroke, or something else disrupting oxygen to the brain.

The actual problem may or may not be life threatening, but the symptoms could kill him. Random gray outs and blurred vision are not something you want to have while driving.
