Mama means that he has finally shown the family and his son that he is actually a grown man and can stick up for the family
Walter finally stepped up and did the right thing. Not the most profitable thing, not the most selfish thing, not the thing of the moment, but he chose the thing that was best for his whole family and he put his selfish dreams aside. He chose the long term gain.
He put his family's interest before his own.
Like in Spiderman 2. Aunt May: ""Sometimes, to dowhat's right, we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most."
That's something most of us have to decide every day.
Walter (Sean Combs), with the help of his mom (Felicia Rashad) finally "saw the sky" and became immovable for what was right.
To the receiver of this opinion, pardon my ineloquence (if that's a word), I hope I have written exactly what I mean.
I read a post where someone was asking "Why does Diddy look like a 2 year old in
this production." Probably because that's the part he was playing. He only became the giant he always wanted to be at the end fo the movie.
With that in mind, he delivered an outstanding performance.

For Walter Lee Younger in Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun," the concept of home eventually comes to represent a sense of security, identity, and belonging. It symbolizes his desire to provide a better life for his family and to fulfill his aspirations. Through the struggle to secure a home, Walter learns the importance of family, personal growth, and the pursuit of dreams.
Did Danny glover plan Walter in the movie a raisin in the sun?
Danny Glover did indeed star as "Walter" in a made-for-TV version of the play: "A Raisin In The Sun." The play was televised on PBS as I recall. I recorded it on videotape when it aired sometime in the late 1980s. Unfortunately, it was later damaged. In my opinion, Danny Glover's portrayal of Walter was the best by far! Walter was played in the movie by Sidney Portier. As much as I love Sidney's work in many movies like: "In The Heat Of The Night" and "The Defiant Ones," I have to say that Danny's version of Walter was much better. Sean "Diddy" Combs was also featured in the role of Walter a couple of years ago in a special presentation of the play on the ABC network. Felicia Rashad (Bill Cosby's "wife" on his two sitcoms) played Walter's mother. Diddy's portrayal of the frustrated dreamer, Walter, did not capture the essence of the character the way Danny Glover did. So, although Danny gave the best performance of the three actors who played Walter, his "Walter" was probably the least watched because of being shown only on PBS. I wish I could find out where I could buy a DVD of Danny Glover's performance in "Raisin In The Sun." That version of the masterpiece play gets five stars in my book! The other two attempts don't even come close. (Sorry Sidney, Sorry Diddy)
