A son betrays his mother?

[Edit]
thats effed up... unless the son has a REALLLLLYYYY good reason to....

Answer

I know of a situation where the son had low blood sugar but had not been diagnosed yet. He was having some personal problems and couldn't sleep. He would drink wine sometimes to help him fall asleep. He had a lot of frustration over high school, his father, and some medical issues he was dealing with. He tended to take everything out on his mother. It was his only outlet. One day he drank too much wine during a time when his blood sugar was fairly low. He was mad at his mother because he couldn't get her on the phone at work. He pressed some of the other extensions at her office and told the co-workers lies about his mother like she was abusive to him, etc. She didn't know anything about it. She suddenly got fired with no explanation. She was devastated. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She had fallen in love with someone there. She couldn't understand why she was fired. No one would talk to her. She was thrown out the door. She was so hurt that it took her months to even begin getting over it. She almost lost her home of 16 years.

Just recently, the son told his mother that he might have said some really bad things that were not true to coworkers at her job one day when he was really frustrated and felt really sick. He told her for a while he thought he had only dreamed that he did it but that he was afraid that he might really have done it. Now she is devastated all over again to find out that the people she thought so much of might think that she was abusing or mistreating her son. In reality, the exact opposite is true of her. Since she was a single parent and her son had some medical issues for a while, she ended up spoiling him terribly. Everyone who knows her and her son knows the real situation. She wouldn't hurt a fly much less her own son. She would never do anything to hurt anyone but instead would do anything to help someone out. She rescues animals, helps the homeless, gives to the women's shelter, and is there anytime a friend or family member is in need. The whole ordeal has almost ruined her. Even though he apologized to his mother, the damage is done. It is really sad.
