well... it started way back. there were a couple o guys from Yale university who cheered on some of their sports team's. from there it just kept growing. I'm not sure too much more. this is just what my couch told us at tryouts.

Yes...all-star cheerleading is competitive. It is actually known for how competitive it really is. However, recreation cheerleading or school cheerleading is not. That is more spirit than competition.

if you have a family history of it, then probably yes. cheerleading is non-stopping activity and moving around, and the joints and muscles really get a beating. trust me, I've been there!!!!!
