Yes. I cant tell you whats up north, but the fishing close to the gulf can contain anything from saltwater redfish to freshwater cats. Usually close to the gulf you'll just catch saltwater fish.
First of all, why wouldn't there be any fish in the brazos? It is freshwater, it goes into the gulf. I am going to start fishing it in awhile, and I am expecting to catch a few red drum, maybe a catfish, some paddle fish, and REALLY MAYBE a bullshark. It is entirely possible to have a bullshark go up the brazos. They have been found in the Mississippi river. I might even catch a gar. (redfish are also called red drum). Oh yeah, if I were you, I would watch out for gators if I was fishing.
The Brazos, River in Texas has several fish such as many types of bass fish, including striped, white, and spotted. You can also catch some blue catfish.
The type of fish is not mentioned in the bible. But it was river fish caught in the river Galilee.
