One such email received on 09/24/2009:

This is the real mccoy folks, the guys running this operation are thieves. Try to get their IP addresses or mac addresses, physical locations, real phone numbers, etc. Get other legitimate (not spoofed or forwarded) identifying data about them and get them turned in to the FDC and other organizations working to eliminate this kind of fraud.
