around 100 000 animals are poached per year. (that's in the whole world.)

Well it depends on what area, but if your just talking about all together, than hundreds and thousands! Most of them get euthanized though.

With a combination of animal experimentation,factory farming,fur farming,hunting and animal "entertainment" the number is at least double the population of humans on this planet.
