"Yes, they are if you want to save gas. But some people don't like it given the fact that they don't have much power."
4-cylinder engines respond quite well to forced induction systems. A turbocharged 2.0 can make as much or more power than a naturally aspirated engine of more than double the size while still being very fuel efficient (if you can stand to drive like your grandmother.) Of course the power bands are quite different. In lager engines power is present mostly at lower engine speeds and tend to decline rapidly at higher RPMs. Turbochargers take time to build boost pressure or "spool up" thus their power is created at higher engine speeds and can continue to gain power until redline and beyond. 4-cylinder engines, which are smaller and weigh less, are capable of running at much higher engine speeds than larger engines. They have a large enough RPM range to be able to make up for "turbo-lag" (the sluggish, low RPM range before the turbo pressurizes and starts making power) and take advantage of the maximum turbo pressure for longer amounts of time per gear.
And, if you drive it easy-like and don't allow the turbo to spool much you will still retain the excellent gas mileage of a smaller displacement engine.
a 4 cylinder car is not a gas saver
Could be 4, 6 or 8 cylinder.
A 2 cylinder engine is faster then a 4. it produces more combustion.
Theyre pretty good!
Varies between cars and engines.
On most 6 cylinder cars the fireing order would be 153624 On 4 cylinder cars the most used is 1342
Sports cars come with almost any size engine from a small 4 cylinder to a large V12. Examples are the Mazda Miata which has a 4 cylinder and then the Chevrolet Corvette which has a V8. Both of these cars are true sports cars.
The number four cylinder in a Subaru is found under the engine. There are 6 cylinders altogether.
use a dodge
As far as I know, Flowmaster does not make exhaust systems for 4 cylinder cars. There are even some 6 cylinder trucks that Flowmaster does not have exhausts for. However, you can go to the Flowmaster web site and search for your particular vehicle to see what products are available for your car/truck.
I am sorry. Some 4 cylinder cars get as little as 18 mpg and as much 54 mpg.
Any 4 cylinder or hybrid car is a good bet. Honda's are affordable, reliable, and sporty. Toyotas are also a very good buy. They are all of those things as well.
