When my mom bird-sat for me when I had friends over, the next day I couldn't wait to get him back, the house was too quiet. If considering getting one, I highly, highly recommend researching what you are getting into and how much they cost. Mine is a year and a half old, and between him, his cage and vet visits alone are over $2000 (they live 40-80 years). This does not include cage accessories, food, or any reoccuring costs they need.
