Yes, they were distant cousins but did not know each other. Andrew "carNAYgee" was the nasty entrepreneur who became the richest man in America and then gave away all but 5 of his 480 million dollars starting in 1901. Dale "CARnegee" wrote How to Win Friends and Influence People" in 1937.
