Are Dominicans from Dominica or Dominican Rep?

Sorry to disappoint you - but in the Caribbean there are two separate islands Dominica and Dominican Republic. They are both referred to as Dominicans.... In the Caribbean the pronunication is different:
Persons from Dominican Republic are referred to as Dominicans (Doh-mi-ni-cans)

Persons from Dominica are referred to as Dominicans (Dom-ee--knee-kans)
