I used to have a Persian cat. He was the best cat, he never sprayed, bit or ran away. I loved him. Persians live a very long time unlike some cats. Maine coons on the other hand are easy to find at shelters because some people cant handle their hugeness or chattiness! They are both great health wise, so its just the one who you think is better looking and acting wise. My cat didnt have a shmooshed face like most Persians, but he didnt like crowds. Persians hunt alot. But Maine coons get HUGE!! Sometimes Persians get to be long like that but they don't weight that much. Mine was skinnier an he was bigger then my cairn terrier dog.
