First, some definitions:
That being established, it cannot be said whether or not all, some, or parts of different mythologies are true or not. It is generally believed by literary, linguistic, and anthropological experts that there is some truth in mythologies, that they rose out of actual events, but that the stories convoluted or changed over time. As is true for human nature, as stories are passed, subsequent generations tend to embellish. Embellishment after embellishment on top of embellishment can make for a very grand tale.
A:It is traditional for the Abrahamic religions to refer to most other religions as mythologies. A myth is really a legend with a supernatural reference, and these are also to be found in the Bible and Koran. When we use the term 'mythology' in respect to religion, we should either use it for all religions without exception, or for none at all.
It all depends upon which of the mythologies you accept as truth!Tao: When Panku died; houmas evolved from the lice upon his body! This may be true; after all we are governed by Parrot Lice poli-ticks.Greek Mythologies: Narcissus, pined away into the image.Judaic Christianity: Adam, also an image.Science: Some nonsensical thing to do with monkeies, and evolution! There are three beliefs, and a theory; but no certainty; it is an Un Known. There are possibly more ancient mythologies; with different versions of: Who, and or What is the origin of The Human Race! Your guess, is as good as anyone els es!
There is a very wide range of mythologies. Follow this link to wikipedia - It lists them all. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mythologies
Almost all of the fae subspecies - and many of the plot devices, for instance the cursing nail - have some precedent in various mythologies. One of the very few exceptions are Mesmers, such as Vex, but otherwise practically all have some root in legends or fairytales. The show gives them all their own spin, but all mythologies evolve and you'd be surprised just how true to the tone of old Celtic mythology in particular that the show often falls.
a true number is a number from 0 till googleplex they are all true numbers none of them are false
true!
Apocalypto was combination of both. Fact and faction both were merged in it. No movie is entirely factual, unless it is a documentary. "Based on a true story" means that some of it is true and some of it is not true. "Inspired by a true story" means that virtually none of it is true. Again, no movie is "fact," unless it is a documentary.
Not at all! Magic wands are apart of numerous mythologies.
none. none at all. the only thing about ghosts anyone should belive in is that casper is a good sort.
No. None of them are.
True vegetarians eat none at all. Some avoid red meat only, but are not vegetarians in the strict sense of the term.
The antonym of all is "none".
