Apples can be a good first choice. However, starting sweet fruits before vegetables can cause babies to prefer fruits over vegetables. I wouldrecommend vegetables first. Try green peas or carrots. Remember to only try one new food per week in order to determine if any Allergies or reactions. I am a WIC nutritionist and this is typically what I recommend to my parents.
