Service dogs are individually trained to perform tasks that help their disabled owners overcome the limitations to daily life activities experienced because of their disability. For example, guide dogs help blind owners around obstacles they cannot see. Hearing dogs signal their hearing disabled owners about important sounds like the doorbell, a smoke alarm, or a baby crying. Mobility dogs pick up dropped items for people in wheel chairs who cannot reach them.

Doberman Pinschers are extremely loyal to their owners. This particular dog breed can be used for almost anything, from police dogs to search dogs, to service dogs. They will do whatever it takes to protect their owner/family and will even sacrifice their life for you. This breed is extremely intelligent and often read off your emotions. I have two, and when I felt uneasy and nervous when a man who was most likely mentally ill came up to me during our walk, they sense my panic and went straight to defensive mode. (They didn't hurt anybody) (:

Yes they are. With people who have a problem such as if they are blind there are dogs who can help them and also dogs can be guard dogs and they can also help people feel better and help police. Different breeds of dogs help in different things, like the Saint Bernard helps people find people buried in the snow and German Shepherds can be used as guard dogs and Border Collies can help in herding sheep. Dogs can also help just by being your friend. People who have pet dogs are less stressed and healthier because they exercise with their dogs and have fun.
