Yes. My dog developed a cyst on his back later in life. When I took him in to the vet I was told that cysts are very common in both golden retrievers and labs, my dog is a mix of both.

All dogs, including Golden Retrievers, have the same scientific name - Canis lupus familiaris.
The dog will as good as the training and socialization given when a pup, whether pure breed or cross breed. Rottweilers suffer terrible publicity, due to irresponsible and bad ownership. The majority of rottweilers have fantastic temperaments, and are loyal to their families.

Some are, especially those that are properly trained and bred to be used as hunting dogs. Genetics plays a great deal in how well and how driven a dog is to be used for hunting. Golden retrievers bred to be used for hunting mainly water fowl. There are several lines though that have this hunting strain bred out so that they are only good as pets or service dogs for the blind and handicapped. However, there are still a number of bloodlines that exist that breed such dogs for use in hunting. They are not bred to fight or attack animals like Rottweilers or Rhodesian Ridgebacks or even Irish Wolfhounds are, but rather to go into the water, fetch the birds that have been shot by the hunter and bring them back to the hunter.
"Golden Doodles" are a mutt-a mix of golden retriever and standard poodle. They are part of the "designer dog" trend where people intentionally breed mutts, give them a cute name and charge a lot of money for them. That said, there is no best dog-only dogs that are a better fit for you and your life than others. With a mixed breed like a "Golden Doodle", the way to decide if they may be right for you is to research golden retrievers and standard poodles and see if their traits appeal to you.
