You bet they are ... and for good reason.

It depends, sometimes they may have you in an intergrated platoon or division (division for the NAVY) or they may have you seperately from males and females. It depends in their "system" of training. As far as hygine (bathing) you are definitely separated; as well as sleeping. You may be intergrated for specific training purposes. Your baracks are totally separed aswell, but it depends on the system in which they may train you...but please REMEMBER: do not fraternize (get too "close" to others in your new family" you are there to train for a little while not to find a mate. It is only for a little while, then after you gradute bootcamp it becomes different. It is fun and you will enjoy it. Just remember it is all a mental and physical challenge that will set your mind to be prepare for all that may come, you will now serve our country and become one of the bravest men or women in the world. Thanks to all those who serve our country.

If you are inquiring about the United States Navy, the answer is yes.

There are many reasons for separation, but everyone in SEPS is treated worse than the average recruit, they are labeled "quitters".

Boot Camp is there to filter out the recruits whom the Navy feels they should no longer invest in.

-- I agree that there are many reasons, medical, mental, prior drug use, pregnant etc. The best advice is to talk to your recruiter and don't hide anything. Sometimes recruiters will tell you to hide stuff, DON'T! It will come around and you will find yourself sitting in the separations division.

PS. SEPS are not treated any worse, they are actually treated better and are lectured on resume writing, finical aid and other life helping skills. The process normally takes 10 working days.

Who has better training the marines or the army?

Marine boot camp - 12 weeks Army boot - 8 weeks Marines are generally known to be more strict and disciplined while the army has greater numbers.......of course it depends on if you ask an army cat or marine. I was both, and the Marines train all the time and are EXTREMELY strict on physical fitness tests, so I would say the USMC does.

Can you reenlist in the army if you quit boot camp?

It is highly unlikely that the U.S. Army will take someone who quit while in boot camp. Currently, with only a very few exceptions, the U.S. Army is not accepting reenlistments from soldiers who have left service after fulfilling their enlistment obligation. So, it is highly unlikely the army would accept someone who quit during boot camp, unless they were discharged for humanitarian reasons.
