By the very definition, no. A "natural" thing is something which happens as a part of nature .... such as volcanoes, lightning and hurricanes. What can happen is that humanity's activities can magnify or increase the frequency of natural calamities. What happened in New Orleans was a natural disaster - that so many people were affected was humanity's fault. People insisted on living in an area which is below sea level and which is prone to bad weather events. Forest fires can be natural disasters, but if humanity drains off the water and damages the environment so that the area is without water to fight the fire, the calamity of the situation is hugely increased. Similarly with earthquakes. It is known that there is a huge fault line under most of the populated areas of California. When the next earhtquake happens, who will be to balme.... nature, or the people who continue living there knowing that we cannot stop earthquakes?
