Not many parts are going to be interchangeable as you're going from the very first of the first 'generation', to the last model year of the second 'generation'.

I am not completely familiar with the Taurus, but if you follow the top radiator hose (thick one) back to the engine block, the housing should be located at the point where this hose meets the block....
