people are born with out human experience,yet right and wrong is ingrain in their existence that can't be denied, or hasn't yet being explore to make any confirmation as to a child having made a choice as to believe or not believe in a deity. the mare fact of one being born does not make one an atheist, to say that a child is born atheist is to say there is nothing before human experience yet we know there is just the mare fact the the child is born 'no through human experience' but through something humans are unaware of; and experience doesn't account for that creation of the one being born; testifies to the existence of something else(God),beyond human experience.

Science indicates that people are born with a capacity for superstitious belief. This behavior had some evolutionary survival value in that taught us to avoid places that we feared had large carnivores. If we were right we lived, if we were wrong very little harm was done.

This does not however make us theists. The advantage of being mentally driven beings rather than slaves to our instincts is that we can analyze our instincts and overcome those which interfere with the good workings of society. As an example we have an instinct to eat, but avoid chowing down at the supermarket until we can't move.

With regard to religion, there is no instinct to be religious, it ai an opportunistic advantage taken by some to profit from the instinct to be superstitious. It diverts our efforts to nonproductive ends.

So yes we are born with a capacity to believe in magic and superstition, but not an instinct to be theists. That implies we are born as atheists.

To say anyone is born atheist is truly simplifying (or dumbing down) logic, usually for the sake of winning an argument. (i.e., not believing in God or any gods means to be atheist; when we are born we aren't believing in God or any gods. That equals born atheist, and therefore, I win.) This so called "logic" is misleading. Though we are not necessarily born theists, one must remember, Atheismis the disbelief in God or any gods (or a belief that there is no God or gods). We do nothave the capacity to form any beliefsor dis-beliefs when we are born and a few years that follow. This states that while we are bornunaware, once we become consciously aware, we make the choice to believe in God or not. We are not simply born into either side.

Yes, people are born atheists. It is that simple and that logical. Religious beliefs are learned behavior. Most religious families indoctrinate their children from birth. Those children have no choice because a religious life is all they know. Many become atheists after they leave home. Any person who believes they could recite their religious rhetoric if it was never taught to them or invent elaborate religious dogma on their own is being self deceptive and illogical.
