If you mean can they be copied to a PC and still be in the camera? In most cases that I have seen, yes. But there could be exceptions.
If you move rather than copy them, then they exist in the PC and not in the camera or memory card. Does that mean they are lost? Not at all.
Is it possible to lose them from the PC? Yes, if you are not careful. But you can make extra copies and keep them in separate locations. I have some experience with this. I can send more information on request.

Well, you have to have a chip to save all your pictures on. So you have (on a desktop computer) have to have a drive to put the chip in then put it in the computer. Butt for a Laptop, there might be an insert place to put the chip. So just put it in there.(: - Alexx.
