Are ps3 games the same as ps2 games?

Answer:
No they are not. Besides costing much more they are on Blue Ray discs and are much more costly to develop They also take a long time for the developers to create the games and most releases are not annually because of the time involved in there developement. Companies like Activision have yearly releases by having both Treyarch and Infinity Ward as developers. The games are software and if you think of PCs the PS3 games sometimes are available in Versions for PCs. Those PC versions of PS3 games have much higher minimum requirements for the software to be run by a PC than were PC versions of the PS2 games. The PS2 can not run a PS3 game and when a game like the PS3 WAW is released for the PS2 it has to be downgraded to a game like Call of Duty World at War Final Fronts
