Are skaters anarchist?

Skaters are people who skate; there is not any inherent connection between the activity of skateboarding and any political or social belief.

An anarchist is someone opposed to "rulers". (The Greek word that "anarchy" is derived from, "an-archos", translates most literally as "without rulers".) This is to say that anarchists are opposed to organizing human society in a way where some people are put in a position of control over other people.

It is possible that skaters are more likely to be anarchists than the general population. Ordinances against skateboarding often lead to conflict between skaters and authority figures, such as the police, which could lead some skaters to question whether the existense of those authority figures is necessary or desirable in the first place.

This correlation is tenuous at best, and certainly could not justify a statement like "skaters are anarchists" (or even, "most skaters are anarchists").
