Are squirrels consumers carnivores herbivores or omnivores?
The are herbivores because they typically eat the seeds, grains, bulbs and bark from plants & trees. On occasion, however, when food is scarce, they have been known to eat ins…ects and pick at a carcass. Omnivores a in recent study in Alaska they found 47% of radio transmitters from baby snow shoe hairs they were tracking in squirrel nest or stuffed in pine trees. researcher even watched them carry off baby rabbits.
A ground squirrel is an omnivore, it eats both plant and meat. Herbivorous things a ground squirrels eats: nuts, seeds, fruits, lichens, buds, mushrooms, roots, pine cones, le…aves, twigs, bark, black walnuts, oranges, avocados, apples, apricots. One of their favorites is definitely corn on the cob that is dried and hung up for them. Carnivorous things a ground squirrels eats: small birds, insects and definitely steal eggs from birds nest in order to make a meal. Generally speaking though, squirrels will mainly stick to things that are vegetarian related.
They usually eat fruits and nuts but will eat meat or insects whenthey need to.
they are omnivorous, they eat small birds, mammals, and reptiles. but they only eat meat when food is scarce.
Squirrels are normally herbivores. They feed on fruits, nuts, leaves etc...But due to starvation or uncontrollable hunger big squrrels have been known to eat small birds,sn…akes etc...
I would say a herbivore because they mostly feed on nuts and berries.
Most caterpillars are herbivores and consume principally autotrophs such as plants, algae and photosynthesizing bacteria. They are mostly phytophagous (herbivore) in food habi…t, with some species being entomophagous (eat other insects).
It is an herbivore. omnivore
How does a tiger obtain energy is it a producer a consumer a carnivore a herbivore an omnivore or a scavenger?
A tiger is a carnivore.
Squirrels are omnivores, which means that they eat both plants and animals. a squirrel is a herbivore! Squirrels are herbivores. They eat nuts and fruits off trees. They are …known for eating acorns. technically, they're omnivores because they eat fruits as well as insects. insects are part of the animal kindom. so therefore, they're eating an animal, a fruit, and whatever else they eat.
Omnivore! which means we can eat all types of food.. meat, fruit, veg etc. except for some people who choose to unnaturally cut out meat from their diet. The guy that answere…d before me is right exept people that are in a diet so they don't wanna eat meat, they are actually eating meat! For example yogurt might not look like meat but it gets its color because of the dead bodies of ants (I saw it in discovery so it must be true)!
The various classes you describe all have to do with eating. The producer grows it's food. There are various birds, mammals who "farm" within their environment. The consumer l…ives off the available food source but does not necessarily farm it's environment.. An herbivore is a grass eater. It consumes grasses such as oats, wheat, or barley. It will also eat various fruit and nuts. This is the vegetarian of the animal kingdom.. The carnivore is one who eats meat. It kills another animal in order to feed itself. The scavenger falls under this category even though it does not kill the animal. The scavenger is the garbage collector of the animal kingdom.. The omnivore is the creature that eats both plant and meat. It might be a producer as well, but it will survive nicely on any available food supply. Man falls under this category.
i think they are herbivores
