Stop truck,put 4x4 lever in 2 wd,put transmission in reverse and back up about 3 feet and you will hear it click,then you are in 2wd.
Ha it's your lucky day, I just redid the entire clutch system for my 86 Nissan. The clutch on the 86 uses hydraulics so you have two cylinders you'll have to deal with. There's a master cylinder...
