Al Gore uses electricity produced from renewable sources. If electricity is produced from renewable sources, then this has practically no carbon footprint and is sustainable.

Al Gore is not the "leading expert" on Global Warming! He is ONE OF the leading activist proponents for the control of Global Warming.

Yes, he does use more energy than the average citizen. But so do almost 50% of all Americans.

There are also several important points to note:

  • he buys his energy through the local Green Power Switch Program. This is electricity generated from wind, solar and methane gas, renewable energy sources.
  • he has installed solar panels on his roof.
  • he has installed a rainwater collection system
  • he has installed a geo-thermal heating system
  • all his lights have been replaced with low-energy bulbs
  • The US Green Building Council has given his house its second-highest rating.
  • the house is also his place of business, so it will use more energy than a domestic home.
  • the climate and the size of the house make his energy use much the same as other homes in that area of Tennessee.

Do you not believe in global warming?

I do. Global warming exists. The main cause of global warming is the increase in greenhouse gases from burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) in industry, transport and the generation of electricity, which releases carbon dioxide (CO2). That increase is reversible. The second leading cause is the increase in deforestation. That is also reversible.

Does anybody think global warming is not affected by electricity?

Global Warming is most indeedly caused by electricity, when you think of where electricity originates then there is your answer. In order to power our homes, schools, and factories we need to burn the fossil fuels first to produce electricity. Basically you get electricity from burning fossil fuels such as coal.

Is global warming a source of electricity?

No, global warming is the recent rapid warming of the earth, caused by the human activities of deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) in industry, transport and the generation of electricity. This releases carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, which is building up in the atmosphere. It is not a source of electricity.

Are robots involved in global warming?

When you turn off a light how does it help global warming?

When you turn off a light you are helping slow global warming by using less electricity. Most electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). This burning releases carbon dioxide, which is causing global warming.

What percent does electricity take up in global warming?

almost 31%

Which ways of producing electricity contributes to global warming?

Any electricity generated by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) contributes to global warming.
