Are there any acting jobs for kids? |
You would be surprised at how many acting jobs there are for kids all over the world. Kids of any age can act, but it takes more than a little work. If you want to act, or do any work, you need a workers permit signed by your parents and the school. The you're going to need to open a Cougen Account. This is a special kind of bank account. 15% of all the money you make will be put in this bank account that only YOU can access. This keeps parents from steeling all of their children's money.
After that you will need to take acting lessons or it will be hard to get work. After that it's very hard to find a job unless you have an agent. First get head shots done by a professional photographer in your area. Then you need to find talent agencies and agents. Send them a resume, a list of your jobs and other acting experience, and some of your head shots. Different agents have different requirements, so make sure you send them what they want. Some may require a copy of your work permit, or your Cougen Account information.
After the agent receives your information they may call you in for an interview, if they like you that is. You need to be calm and relaxed and don't act at all shy. Try to smile and talk in a loud, clear, voice. They may ask you to do a cold read in front of a camera, or just for them . If they ask you to slate simply state your name and age and when they say action begin your read.
If the agent likes you he will become your agent and then try to find jobs for you. of course, he then gets about 10-20% of everything you earn on those jobs.
