You can do that on eBay. Just use the Buy it Now feature instead of going through the auction. You'll usually have to pay a little more for it, but it's worth it to not have to wait and see if you win the auction.

If all you want is to buy from a merchant without having the competition of an auction, why bother with auction site? Just do a search for the merchandise you are looking for and select the vendor/merchant who offers the best deal.
Tip: look for wholesalers or distributors for the very best deals.
