Answer
There is no way to target fat from a particular part of the body. people beleive the best way to loose fat off the tummy is to do sit ups. this will build the muscle under the fat but does not target the fat around the belly you would be better off running. You need to eat healthy and have a decent workout with weight resistance and cardio work to burn off the body fat, your body decides which parts of the body loose fat and at what rate.
Answer
Contrary to popular belief, doing specific exercises do not target the fat around a specific area.
There is absolutely no way to target pecfic areas of fat. Period.
For best results, you must do aerobic activity, weight training and proper diet to lose fat. Your body burns the fat as a whole, not from specific areas.

I disagree with those above! Try the squat machine at the gym or if you don't have access, hold a weight infront of you (depending on how much you can handle), hold it with two hands down in the middle of your knees so your arms are extended straight, and do a squat...hold for around 2-3 seconds (keep your back straight, not arched!). Continue doing these for about 10-15 squats, then repeat this 2-3 times. Also if you put your back to a wall, have your thighs parallel with the floor like you are sitting in a chair, and hold this position for 20-30 seconds at the begining...once you get stronger in this region, you will be able to hold it longer. DON'T hold yourself up with your arms by putting them on the wall or on your knees. Cross them infront of your stomache.
