Answer

There are numerous recipes for conditioners that you can make right in your own kitchen.

One of the most popular methods throughout the years has been the use of mayonnaise. Start by washing and towel drying your hair. Use about a half a cup of mayonnaise (not miracle whip) and massage it into the hair. Let it sit in the hair for about 10-15 minutes. Shampoo again and then lightly rinse the hair. Some people prefer to use a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water to rinse after the second shampoo. The egg from the mayonnaise will really bring out a shine that cannot be found in conditioners found in most stores.

There are many other recipes using everything from avocados to honey to rose floral water. The most important thing is to find a recipe that you feel comfortable with and stick to it

Here's another one: I use a teaspoon of honey in a mug of hot/warm water. And I give my hair a final rinse with this. Honey is deeply moisturizing, I even use it on my face. Using this after shampooing and conditioning, will give your hair a great glossy, shiny finish.
