(Note: it is a known aspect of human visual observation that the mind will form images of "faces" and other familiar forms, even where these are not intentionally depicted. It is impossible to tell if a detail was purposely added to a painting or if it exists solely through the imagination of the viewer.)
--- I've had this picture since I was a very young child. I am now almost 60 years old. The picture had a green foil type frame. My sister now has the picture. I purchased another one like it except it has the red foil on the frame. Someone pointed out to me what looks like the image of the devil over the little boys hat. From what I see it looks exactly like a devil. The way I take this is the devil is trying to hurt the children, but the beautiful Guardian Angel is there protecting them. I cannot find out anything about this. Hope someone can enlighten me on it.
My girlfriend's parents have this painting and it does look like a devil figure. If you look past the angel, the black area that lines the outside of the angels body and wing it makes an image of a boy with his mouth open as if staring scared.
Hi, I learned of this picture through a church I went to when I was a teenager and this is how I heard of this story ... There was a man who was tired of being poor.. he loved to paint but wasn't very good at it and he saw many people making good money from painting.. He made a deal with the devil..He told the devil "I will give you my soul if you can make me a great painter so that I can make lots of money" well the devil had to add his own twist to the story.. He said to the man sure but you have to paint what I say and add what I want you to add... well the man agreed .. The paintings that this man was to paint was was to give false hope..the devil said to the man "I want you to make paintings of angels protecting others but in it I want you to put symbols of me inside it.. so that when others hang these paintings in there home they will be seeing me and not God.." In the painting "Guardian Angel" or " Heilige Schutzengel" there were several symbols hidden in this painting .. upside down crosses , faces of the devil, and of a goat ... now I haven't seen this painting in many years so I cant exactly show you where they are but I know they are there.. If any one has a painting of this in there home I urge that you do your research of angels in The Bible and please take this picture or figurines out of your home .. if you chose to keep this pic in your home to use as a teaching tool please place it face side down.
I had a friend several years ago to point me out 3 skull faces in this painting, they were plain as day! It spooked me somewhat, also the picture to me, it may mean well or whatever, I don't know, but from the images my friend pointed out, I seen 3 skulls, one was in the Angel's hair, but also other stuff in it that looked satanic. I wish someone knew the secret behind the picture.
i personally have had this picture (one of the originals) hanging above my brothers bed when we used to share a room when we were younger. we knew nothing of the hidden images in this picture. although throughout the time it was hanging there me and my brother would have horrible dreams of satanic things. waking up in the middle of the night seeing demons and other evil figures. never knew that it had anything to do with something so simple as a picture. somehow my parents ended up finding out about this picture and they took it out of our house and burned it (we were young enough at the time that my parents wouldn't show us what they saw in the picture because they didn't want to scare us) but i got curious and started looking for it. I haven't seen everything because i cant find a picture big enough to really see everything all i can see is the Mary with horns praying (behind the children in the angels robe..she is turned to the right) but i know of other people who have seen the other things that are hidden this picture. after dealing with the evil presents of the devil and his followers and seeing them..this is a picture that i would advise anyone who has it so get rid of it. its not something you want to mess with.
The painting Guardian Angel by Lindberg has a lurking black background behind the scared face of the boy. It is considered by some as the depiction of the devil.

Who is J Fuller the artist of oil painting of sea captain?simular face.I was at an arts and crafts sale in Shreveport, La. in the mid 1970's. One of the booths had many paintings of seamen, woodsmen, and others. There was one painting of a Rabbi and I purchased it. The other faces had many views, and most were the same or similar faces. The outstanding eyes were common to all. All of these were J. Fuller paintings I do not know if the man in the booth was the artist or not.

There is no set direction in which the Angel Moroni points. And in fact, as of 2013, eight Mormon Temples don't have any Angel Moroni statue at all. Eight additional temples have received a statue several years after their dedication to help identify them as Mormon Temples. On most temples, the angel statue faces east if possible. This is supposedly because Moroni is meant to be heralding or signaling the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, whom is often associated with the east in scripture; but this is more of a tradition than an official belief or practice. There are several temples where the angel faces another direction simply because of the direction of the building or the lot it was built on. On five temples (Seattle, Manilla Philippines, Taipei Taiwan, Spokane, and Nauvoo, Illinois), the angel faces due west because the temple faces west.
It makes them feel like they are not themselves. Therefore they can kill without feeling remorse.
