The only leather coat you can clean at home and this is only to spot clean is a smooth leather jacket. (The finish will be really shiny, like letterman or varsity jacket sleeves.) These you can easily just wipe off with warm water. However in any other case concerning leather or suede it must be cleaned by a professional leather dry cleaner.
