The only mosquitoes in Cape Verde are on the island of Santiago, and even then they are only around during a few months in the Summer. The holiday islands of Sal and Boa Vista are too hot and dry for them to survive. It is extremely unlikely that you will see mosquitoes here and even if you do they are unlikely to carry Malaria.

You should always visit a doctor before you travel to ensure your immunisations are up to date. They should be able to tell you whether the Cape Verde islands are a Malaria risk.
