YES! Depending on where you move in Anthem you will have varied amounts of Scorpion encounters. Scorpions will wonder into your house, your garage, boxes or other cool dry areas on search of water and food. The best defense is to not leave doors open, use a licensed exterminator and buy a black light.
Although bites are relatively rare, Anthem was built on native scorpion habitat, and they have not decided to pack up and leave yet.
TIP - check boxes before you stick your hands in them, shoes before you put your feet in them, and generally wear gloves if you are moving firewood or other items that have been hanging around.
