Are there worldwide lists of wholesale vendors? |
Answer
Yes, The easiest way to find these lists is to go to google and typing in the words, "worldwide wholesale vendors" or "wholesale vendor".
Actually if you do that you get thousands of middlemen and fake wholesalers who charge you higher prices and cripple your ability to compete. Worldwide Brands sells a list of wholesalers that is updated, thoroughly checked for legitimacy and most are willing to work with you. The list is expensive but if you're going to retail online or off it is valuable. (I am not in any way associated with them, btw). Another way is use Google as advised above but be ready to cull through the lists hunting for true wholesalers. Legitimate wholesalers will not charge you to buy from them or make you buy a "membership". You will find lists, alright, many of them, but I have used these, or tried to, every single one I've seen is outdated, full of scam companies, and companies no longer in business. Find your wholesalers one by one, they should require an application but not a fee; they will want you to be a licensed business even if you're new, they will have minimum purchase requirements (this isn't bad -you don't want your customers buying from them an item at a time do you? Without minimum's that is what would happen) and depending on what you sell they may have other requirements (many want you to be a brick-and-mortar operation rather than an etailer). Don't forget to use your phonebook, especialy the nearest large city and look for importers and wholesalers. Having your source a few miles away is worth a good deal.
