Are white people going extinct or is that some hoax to scare people?

Unfortunately, if the trends continue, they will disappear. Not in the next decade, but surely in the next centuries. It could be in the next centuries. So it is not exactly a hoax.

The reason is because the white people of the mostly white nations (United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia) aren't having enough children to sustain replacement level (about 2.11 children per family), which shortly means, more white people die than white babies are born. Most white nations have an average birthrate of 1.3 children per family.

Also, all of the white nations are receiving mass Immigration to make up for the disappearance of the workforce, which in time, with increasing minorities and decreasing white births, will make them minorities. Note that practically all white countries and only white countries are encouraging mass immigration. While Asia will stay Asian, Africa stay African, possibly no place on earth will be White.

Today, Whites make up only 8 (2 percent of these are women in child baring age) percent of the whole planet population, comparatively to 28 percent in the 1950, and it is decreasing every decade.

Decreasing White Population
As the Community Answer notes, the birthrate among Whites is generally decreasing and lower than the replacement rate, which means that more Whites are dying than are being born. Roughly 2.3 children must be born to every married household in order to make up for the parents (2 people) and those people who will not reproduce (roughly 15% of the population). However, the average White Household has roughly 2.1 children, which is less than replacement rate. Inevitably, unless there is a massive change in behavior, Whites will disappear. Admittedly, this will take centuries, but the direction of change is clear.

The cause of these demographic trends derives from men's and women's choices in different places in the world. In most of the Non-Industrialized World, men and women typically marry earlier and have more children than in the Industrialized World and among people throughout the world, poorer individuals typically produce more children than wealthier individuals. There is also a direct correlation between giving women the right to choose their marital partners and a decrease in the number and longevity of marriages. (Of course, this does not mean that women's rights should be denied, but it shows that the trends are correlated with policies and laws, not racial characteristics.)

Hoax of Genocide
The "hoax" issue derives mostly from White Nationalists who make the argument that there is a conspiracy afoot to cause these demographic trends as opposed to them simply being a result of men's and women's choices. The White Nationalists argue that specific policies are implemented, like acceding to women's rights, allowing immigration, and permitting racial intermarriage, in order to extinguish Whites. The White Nationalists will term this "intentional trajectory of acts" as a genocide against Whites.
