You are old enough to be an emancepated adult if you can prove to a court you should be. If you are old enough for that I'm sure you could choose who you want to live with if you can give the court a good reason to grant your request.

∙ 14y agoOnly Texas has that law, but with significant restrictions. In all other states, it's a case by case basis, with the Judge interpreting the maturity of the child, and their intent, but this still does not override other evidence in the child's best interest. It's just a piece of the evidence.
