While having a tattoo or brand does not automatically disqualify you from consideration, it does open the door for rejection based on a more subjective evaluation. Nonremovable piercings are not allowed and must be removed prior to admission. Air Force policy stipulates that tattoos or brands must not be excessive. Nor may they contain inflammatory, obscene, racist, sexist or similar content. Tattoos or brands that fall into any of these categories will cause you to be disqualified for admission. The Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board will notify the Admissions Office of any tattoos, brands or nonremovable piercings noted during your medical exam. We will then require that you provide us a color snapshot of each. Assuming your tattoo or brand falls within acceptable limits, you will be allowed to continue in the application process. You should keep the following in mind. Those who review the picture of your tattoo, brand or piercing are of an older generation and may not view body art in the same manner as you. So, if you don't already have a tattoo or brand, think long and hard about whether the risk of possibly losing out on an Academy appointment is worth it.
Yes, but there are certain limitations. You may not have any visable tattoos above the collar line. Visable tattoos are ok in other areas, so long as they do not cover more than 25% of the exposed body part, and they cannot be innapropriate (discriminatory, sexual innuendo, etc...)
Yes. In the United States, you will not be permitted to enlist if you have your face, head, neck, or hands tattooed. I had a friend whom had a small NON-racist swastika on his hand, and they did make him cover it up before they allowed him to enter simply due to it being possibly misconstrued as racist…as the norm. With that said, they usually don't permit you in if you have any tattoos that they perceive as having racist or gang affiliation. Also, they will not allow you to enter the military if your ears are stretched to the point where you can see light through them without jewelry in them, body jewelry in general is a no-no, and so is tongue splitting. With this said, once you are in, remember that you are the property of the U.S. Government technically, so getting new work is a bit trickier.
The rules very from one branch of service to another. During the physical a medical doctor giving you a total look over will determine if any/all tattoos you have are in regulation of their standards. If about to get a tattoo and thinking about enlisting talk to your Army, Marine, Navy or Air Force recruiter first.

Tattoos are body decoration. A tattoo is made by staining the skin with special inks. The primary purpose is similar to that of fashionable clothing: to show the world what sort of a person one is.
There is no such thing as a maori Celtic sun tattoo. Māori and Celtic are two different cultures
Because he wanted the element of suprise.
No because it harms the body and Islam does not allow any harm. Something like tattos were at the time of mohammed (PBUH) and were not allowed. I hope that answers your question!

No, I don't think they did get any tattos! I only think that because, Geishas wanted to keep their natural beauty. So that's why they don't want tattos.
