Most religious belief is the result of childhood indoctrination, and it is perfectly understandable that children learn from their parents and teachers, without necessarily trying to figure out if they are learning the truth or just fairy tales. Beyond that, the universe is very complicated, and it is again understandable that not everybody arrives at the same conclusions about how the universe works. I will say, however, that the religious concept of resurrection is not scientifically plausible.
